The Nebraska Volleyball team is gearing up for the final showdown at the Big Ten Conference tournament this season. They are set to face off against the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes in back-to-back games starting tonight.

In a recent fun chat with the B1G Network, Nebraska Volleyball players, including co-skippers Bergen Reilly and Rebekah Allick, and veteran player Harper Murray, revealed their favorite Husker jersey. Surprisingly, the majority of the players agreed that the iconic Black Husker jersey was their top pick. The B1G Volleyball Instagram page shared a snippet of the chat session with the caption, “Safe to say @huskervb loves their black threads 👀”.

Having maintained an impressive record this season, the Nebraska Volleyball team clinched their third consecutive Big Ten Conference title by defeating the Indiana Hoosiers in their recent game. With a flawless record of 28 wins out of 28 games played so far, the Huskers are determined to secure the NCAA championship.

Despite their recent success, the Nebraska Volleyball team is relentless in their pursuit of the NCAA title. The last time the Nebraska Cornhuskers claimed the championship was in the 2017 season. Since then, they have reached the finals three times, in 2018, 2021, and 2023, respectively.

Reflecting on their performance this season, the Nebraska Volleyball team narrowly missed out on a second consecutive final appearance in the 2024 NCAA Championships, falling short to the eventual champions, the Penn State Nittany Lions, in a close 2-3 match.

Following head coach John Cook’s retirement, former Nebraska Volleyball player Dani Busboom Kelly took the reins. Kelly, a former NCAA champion as a player and assistant coach, brought a new attacking approach to the team. The Huskers kicked off their season with a victory against the Pittsburgh Panthers and continued their winning streak with dominant performances, often winning games by a margin of 3-0 or 3-1.

While facing tough competition from teams like the Kentucky Wildcats and the Creighton Bluejays, the Nebraska Cornhuskers showcased their resilience and determination, securing victories even in challenging matchups.

As the Nebraska Volleyball team continues their quest for the NCAA championship, fans eagerly await their upcoming games and the possibility of witnessing another title triumph under Dani Busboom Kelly’s leadership.
