Christina Applegate shared a less than flattering encounter with disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein in her latest memoir “You With the Sad Eyes.” In the book, she recounted an incident at a Hollywood party where she confronted Weinstein for making inappropriate comments about another woman. Applegate described how Weinstein appeared “afraid” of her following the confrontation, acknowledging her no-nonsense demeanor.
Interestingly, Weinstein did not dispute Applegate’s account of the incident. Instead, he praised her courage and honesty. A spokesperson for Weinstein commended Applegate as a “talented actress and influential figure in Hollywood,” expressing support for her decision to share her story in her own words.
Harvey Weinstein, currently incarcerated in New York awaiting his third rape trial, had his previous 2020 conviction and 23-year sentence overturned in 2024. Despite this, he faces legal challenges as he serves a 16-year sentence for rape and other charges in Los Angeles, following a conviction in December 2022.
