Harvey Weinstein asserts his innocence, claiming he was wrongly convicted of rape and other sex crimes. In a recent interview with conservative podcaster Candace Owens, Weinstein takes aim at his celebrity accusers, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashley Judd, and Rose McGowan.
Owens has released a teaser clip of the interview, scheduled to air in full on Club Candace. The footage shows Weinstein in a suit, speaking on the phone from jail, disputing the allegations with Candace in her broadcast booth.
Weinstein vehemently denies the accusations against him, proclaiming his innocence before God and his audience. He expresses frustration at the lack of vocal support from his allies, fearing cancellation. Regarding Paltrow, Weinstein denies any physical misconduct but concedes to making advances towards her, as she previously accused him of sexual harassment on multiple film sets.
Weinstein dismisses Judd’s harassment claims as “ridiculous” and criticizes McGowan for going public about their settlement after she accused him of assault, leading to a $100,000 payout.
Currently facing retrial in his New York case following an overturned conviction in April 2024, Weinstein continues to serve a 16-year sentence from his prior guilty verdict for rape and assault in Los Angeles in 2022.
