Hearst Media Production Group Promotes Bryan Curb to President

Hearst Media Production Group, a leading provider of educational and informational content to broadcast networks and independent stations, has announced the promotion of Bryan Curb to president. Curb will be taking over from Frank Biancuzzo, who is set to retire after over 40 years in the industry. Curb previously held the position of executive VP and general manager of educational/informational programming at Hearst Media Production Group.

Hearst Television president Michael J. Hayes, who oversees HMPG, made the announcement of Curb’s promotion, praising his contributions to the success of the company’s programming over the past decade.

Curb’s tenure at HMPG dates back to the company’s founding in 2021 when Hearst acquired Litton Entertainment. He has since held various roles within the organization, including chief creative officer for Litton. Curb’s impressive resume includes executive producing over 40 series and winning four Emmys, with 20 nominations to his name. His responsibilities as exec VP encompass program development, production, business standards, sales, and marketing.

Recently, Curb and HMPG unveiled a new renovation series titled “Home for Good” for ABC stations, adding to his list of successful projects which include the revival of “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom” and bringing back the Harlem Globetrotters to television.

“Bryan’s vision, passion, and leadership have been instrumental in shaping the growth and success of HMPG,” remarked Biancuzzo. “His contributions have been pivotal in driving the organization forward.”

Prior to his role at Litton, Curb founded MTO Productions, a TV and video production company based in Burbank. His extensive career includes directing and editing over 100 TV episodes, national commercials, and main titles.
