Superbon, the ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion from Thailand, has high praise for his teammate Johan Ghazali. Ghazali, a Malaysian-American sensation, has made a name for himself in the world of martial arts with his talent, charisma, and knockout power. However, the 19-year-old faced a tough period in 2025 after suffering back-to-back decision losses to Johan Estupinan and Diego Paez.

Despite these setbacks, Ghazali bounced back in spectacular fashion by defeating Zakaria El Jamari at ONE Fight Night 35, showcasing his resilience and determination. Superbon believes that Ghazali’s inconsistency is simply a part of his growth as a young fighter and is confident that he has the potential to become a great in the sport of kickboxing.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Superbon expressed his belief in Ghazali’s untapped potential and emphasized the importance of experience in shaping the young fighter’s career. He mentioned, “When you’re that young, you can get over-excited or lose your composure when the pressure hits. But he’ll get better as he gains more experience.”

Superbon will continue to support Ghazali as he steps back into the ring at ONE Friday Fights 141 on Feb. 6. Ghazali, representing Rentap Muaythai Gym and Superbon Training Camp, will face off against Ye Yint Naung from Myanmar in a flyweight Muay Thai bout. The event will be broadcast live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.

Reflecting on his journey in 2025, Ghazali remains grateful for the lessons learned from both victories and defeats. He understands the importance of setbacks in his growth as a fighter and is determined to come back stronger after each loss. Ghazali stated, “The year taught me a lot. Losses teach us to bounce back stronger…pressure makes diamonds. So fans got to witness that when I got my knockout win. I silenced the critics and the doubters.”

As Ghazali continues to evolve as a fighter, he remains focused on his goal of achieving success in the world of kickboxing. With the unwavering support of Superbon and his team, Ghazali is poised to make his mark and fulfill his potential in ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’. The journey of Johan Ghazali is one filled with ups and downs, but his determination and passion for the sport will undoubtedly lead him to greater heights in the future.
