The 2025 Cannes Film Festival has come to a close, leaving us with a plethora of stunning red carpet looks to admire. Despite a last-minute dress code update that banned nudity, volume, and trains, celebrities still managed to dazzle on the Croisette with their fashion choices that pushed boundaries and broke rules.

One of the most anticipated aspects of the festival was seeing how brands would fare amidst a season of creative director changes. With designers playing musical chairs in the fashion industry, red carpet dressing was also in a state of flux. Some labels, such as Balenciaga and Loewe, showcased the work of their outgoing creative directors, while others like Givenchy and Tom Ford provided a glimpse into the vision of their new designers.

Many celebrities stuck to their brand contracts, with stars like Kristen Stewart, Natalie Portman, and Emma Stone showcasing the latest designs from Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton respectively. However, free agent Elle Fanning stole the show by wearing multiple brands including Chanel, Gucci, and Valentino. The jury members, including Halle Berry, Alba Rohrwacher, and Juliette Binoche, also opted for a variety of brands during the festival.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the standout brands worn by celebrities on the red carpet at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival:

Under the creative direction of Nicolas Ghesquière, celebrities like Cate Blanchett, Emma Stone, Alana Haim, and Renate Reinsve showcased sculptural peplums, drop waists, and funky collars.

Dior
