The Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards, also known as “Ant-Man,” showcased his resilience and determination in the team’s dominant 117-93 victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals. Despite suffering a scary injury when the 245-pound Warriors big Trayce Jackson-Davis landed on his left ankle, Edwards displayed a remarkable recovery, earning him the nickname “Wolverine” from teammate Julius Randle.

After being helped off the court, Edwards returned to the game and contributed 13 points and five rebounds, finishing the night with an impressive stat line of 20 points, nine boards, and five assists. Randle commended Edwards for his ability to bounce back from adversity, likening him to the resilient comic book character Wolverine.

Despite initial concerns about the severity of the injury, Edwards’ quick return to the court dispelled any doubts. Randle praised Edwards for his resilience and dedication to the game, noting that he never shies away from a challenge and always gives his best effort.

In the postgame press conference, Edwards’ teammates Jaden McDaniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker also lauded his superhero-like performance. McDaniels compared him to “Superman,” emphasizing Edwards’ seemingly unstoppable nature on the court. Alexander-Walker echoed this sentiment, highlighting Edwards’ unwavering commitment to competing at a high level.

The Timberwolves’ stellar shooting performance in Game 2, including a 43.2% three-point shooting rate and 33 assists on 44 made field goals, propelled them to victory. The series now shifts to Chase Center in Golden State for Game 3, scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Overall, Edwards’ remarkable recovery and standout performance in Game 2 solidified his reputation as a resilient and talented player. His teammates and fans alike are in awe of his unwavering determination and competitive spirit, making him a key asset for the Timberwolves as they continue their playoff journey.
