A homeless man went on a violent rampage in Midtown on Tuesday, randomly assaulting three men in separate incidents. Jordan Velez, 29, started by punching a 61-year-old man on Madison Avenue near East 40th Street. He then targeted a 34-year-old man outside the One Vanderbilt skyscraper before entering the building’s lobby and attacking a 23-year-old man. The victims appeared to have no connection to each other.
The oldest victim was taken to NYU Langone Health in stable condition, while the two younger men refused medical treatment. It is unclear whether the victims were residents or tourists.
