Affordable Housing Development Proposed for Denver’s Five Points Neighborhood
A new affordable housing development is in the works for Denver’s Five Points neighborhood. The proposed four-story, multi-unit project is set to be built on a triangular lot at 2205 N. Washington St. The development, named Paragon Place, will include 50 residential units with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as 4,000 square feet of commercial space and 42 parking spaces.
According to Guadalupe Cantu of Davis Partnership Architects, Paragon Place will be a family-focused community designed with trauma-informed principles to create a calming environment for residents. The project is a collaboration between Davis Partnership Architects, Paragon Behavioral Health, and Cohen-Esrey Development Group.

The property will offer amenities such as a lobby with a residential lounge, fitness center, therapy rooms, and shared office spaces for staff. Plans for the development may change, as Cohen-Esrey has also submitted documents for a potential five-story building with 66 residential units.
The project, set to be completed by June 2027, is located in a prime area with access to public transportation, parks, schools, and cultural attractions. The 0.73-acre lot, currently used as a dog park, is within walking distance of Uptown, Restaurant Row on 17th Avenue, and Denver’s RiNo neighborhood.
