The upcoming event on the PGA Tour schedule is the Genesis Invitational 2026, which is set to be the second signature event of the season. With a whopping purse of $20 million, the winner of this prestigious tournament will walk away with a handsome check of $4 million.

The Genesis Invitational 2026 will see a field of 72 players vying for the top spot. However, after 36 holes, there will be a cut, allowing only the top 50 players and ties to advance to the final two rounds over the weekend.

Last week, the PGA Tour players competed in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2026, the first signature event of the season. With a similar purse of $20 million, the winner of that tournament took home $3.6 million in prize money. Unlike the Genesis Invitational, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am did not have a cut line and featured 80 players.

Returning to defend his title at the Genesis Invitational is Ludvig Åberg, last year’s champion. The event also had a purse of $20 million in the previous year.

The prize money distribution for the Genesis Invitational 2026 is as follows:
– 1st place: $4,000,000
– 2nd place: $2,200,000
– 3rd place: $1,400,000
– 4th place: $1,000,000
– 5th place: $840,000
– And so on for the top 50 finishers.

The field for the Genesis Invitational 2026 features some of the top-ranked golfers in the world, including Collin Morikawa, the winner of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2026, Scottie Scheffler, Keegan Bradley, and many others.

The list of players competing in the Genesis Invitational 2026 includes Ludvig Åberg, Daniel Berger, Akshay Bhatia, Keegan Bradley, Jacob Bridgeman, Sam Burns, and a host of other talented golfers.
