Prince Andrew has been dealt another blow as Prince Charles has ordered him to vacate Royal Lodge, the Windsor mansion he shared with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. This move highlights the growing isolation of Andrew within the royal family.

A palace courtier revealed, “The decision to remove him from the Lodge was widely seen as a reflection of Prince William’s stance on how Andrew should be treated.”

At the heart of the rift between the two princes is a long-standing personal feud, fueled by derogatory comments Andrew reportedly made about William’s wife, Catherine, Princess of Wales, early in their marriage.

A royal insider shared, “William made it clear years ago that there would be zero tolerance for any misconduct associated with Andrew. He is aware that some of Andrew’s behavior may stem from snobbery, as he has always believed Catherine was not ‘posh’ enough to be part of the royal family.”

“Since then, William’s response has been unwavering: maintaining distance, keeping silent, and sending a clear message that the monarchy’s future will not be marred by past scandals. Andrew will now be kept at arm’s length from the institution,” the source added.
