The Controlled Access Zone was introduced with the Shrouded Sky update on February 24, 2026. It is located south of the Power Generation Complex and offers a unique gameplay experience for those brave enough to venture into its depths.
To unlock the locked gates in the Controlled Access Zone, players must work together to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. The first locked gate can be opened by obtaining a fuel cell from the lowest level of the area and inserting it into a generator located at the top level. This unlocks the gate and grants access to valuable loot items, including a whiteboard needed for the A Rising Tide quest.
The second locked gate is more challenging and requires four players to simultaneously press four buttons located in different areas of the zone. Once all four buttons are pressed, the gate will unlock, revealing a secret room filled with loot. Players will need ARC Performance Steel or ARC Powercells to activate the lock mechanism for the final third gate, which leads to an exit rope.
