Stormarion Assaults are a thrilling new event in WoW Midnight, offering players the chance to participate in a timed Tower Defense in the Voidstorm. To fully unlock this event and receive your Weekly Reward, you must be at least level 90.
The Stormarion Assault event occurs every half-hour in WoW Midnight at the Stormarion Citadel (26.79 67.80) in the Voidstorm. This event spans fifteen minutes and consists of three phases of defenses and three waves of enemies. Players can also engage in various quests in this area to work towards earning the Sojourner of Voidstorm achievement.
During the event, players can spend Stormarion Cores to enhance the defenses of the area. These defenses include the Black Eye, Shock Pylon, Light Barricade, and Shadowtrade Mercenaries. As players progress and reach Renown Rank 11 with The Singularity, they can deploy additional defenses such as Shadowtrade Mercenaries.
Players can also purchase temporary buffs and attacks for the Stormarion Assault using Stormarion Cores, which can be obtained from Elites in Voidstorm, quests, Stormarion Caches, and other sources. Strategic deployment of defenses is crucial to success in the event, with each combat wave lasting three minutes and a brief interval between waves to reinforce defenses.
The ultimate goal of the Stormarion Assault is to protect the Singularity Anchor from enemy attacks. If the Singularity Anchor remains intact when the event concludes, players emerge victorious. Players can also earn achievements by keeping the Singularity Anchor above 90% health and defeating rare spawns like Voidseer Orivane and Nullspiral after the event.
Successfully completing the Stormarion Assault Weekly Quest rewards players with 2,000 renown with The Singularity. Additionally, players receive a Victorious Stormarion Pinnacle Cache or Victorious Stormarion Cache based on their performance. These caches contain valuable rewards such as Stormarion Cores, item level 220 gear, housing decor, crafting techniques, and more.
One of the most sought-after items that can drop from the event is the Uncontaminated Void Sample, which players can use at the Research Console in Howling Ridge to enhance their power in the Voidstorm Region.
