WWE has recently made a groundbreaking announcement that involves some big names in the wrestling industry – Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Booker T. The promotion has always been dedicated to developing young talent and creating the superstars of tomorrow. This commitment led to the creation of NXT, which has proven to be a breeding ground for future main-event-caliber stars like Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Gunther.
Building on the success of NXT, WWE launched its NIL program to provide college athletes with the opportunity to pursue a career as WWE Superstars. And now, they are taking it a step further with the introduction of the WWE ID program. This program is designed to support independent wrestlers and wrestling schools by offering them a pathway to WWE. The first schools to receive the official WWE ID designation include Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling, Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Factory, Seth Rollins’ Black and Brave Academy, Elite Pro Wrestling Training Center, and KnokX Pro Academy.
In an official announcement on social media, WWE stated, “WWE has launched @WWEID, a first-of-its-kind developmental program designed to provide up-and-coming independent wrestlers a pathway to a potential career in WWE.” This initiative aims to open doors for aspiring wrestlers and provide them with the resources and support needed to succeed in the industry.
One of the key figures in this program is Cody Rhodes, who co-founded the Nightmare Factory with QT Marshall. During a recent interview on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, QT Marshall shared some insights into Cody’s training philosophy. He revealed that on the first day of training, Cody asks his students who their favorite wrestler is and then encourages them to treat every person they meet in the wrestling world as their favorite. This valuable advice emphasizes the importance of respect and professionalism in the industry.
As more schools and wrestlers get the opportunity to be part of the WWE ID program, the future of professional wrestling looks bright. This innovative initiative is set to nurture talent, provide guidance, and create a strong foundation for the next generation of WWE Superstars. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development in the world of wrestling.
