According to the latest community alert released on Wednesday afternoon, unknown individuals have been placing stickers or graffiti with anti-Semitic phrases on public and private property in the area. The targeted locations include a mailbox, stop signs, Amazon lockers, and an emergency bell.
The earliest incident was reported on June 23 in the 5100 block of South University Avenue. Since then, similar acts of vandalism have been discovered at various locations in the neighborhood:

– July 22, 9:52 a.m. – 1600 block of East 55th Street
– July 22, 11:00 a.m. – 5000 block of South Greenwood Avenue
The Chicago Police Department had initially issued a crime alert on July 21, but the recent report indicates that the pattern of anti-Semitic vandalism is persisting and expanding.
