Kim Kardashian faced her robbers in court as she delivered her testimony on May 13th in Paris. The incident took place during Paris Fashion Week on October 3, 2016, when the accused individuals broke into her hotel room and held her at gunpoint, stealing $6 million worth of jewelry.
During her testimony, Kardashian described the terrifying experience of being zip-tied and having her mouth taped shut while wearing only a bathrobe. She expressed her fear of being raped and thought she was going to die during the ordeal. The robbers had posed as police officers, handcuffing a concierge before entering Kardashian’s room.
Thinking it was a terrorist attack, Kardashian prayed for her family and friends, pleading with the robbers that she had children. One of the robbers pointed a gun at her head and demanded her jewelry, dragging her to the bathtub in the process.
The group of thieves, mostly in their ’60s and ’70s, were referred to as “the grandpa robbers” by the French press. They had allegedly tracked Kardashian’s movements through her social media activity. The thieves managed to escape with the stolen jewelry, leaving Kardashian locked in the bathroom.
The trial included ten of the accused individuals, with one passing away before the trial and another being excused due to illness. Despite the traumatic experience, Kardashian bravely faced her attackers in court to seek justice for the robbery she endured.
