Mark Halperin Calls Out CNN’s Media Ethics
Mark Halperin, a journalist known for his candid views, has become one of the few media figures openly discussing President Biden’s condition. Halperin notably predicted that Biden might withdraw from the 2024 race following a lackluster debate performance, a claim that has stirred conversations in political circles.
In a recent video commentary, Halperin took aim at CNN, specifically targeting ‘media reporter’ Brian Stelter for what he perceives as dishonesty and hypocrisy in covering the ongoing controversy regarding Biden’s health.
If you harbor any skepticism towards CNN, this critique is definitely worth your time.
RedState elaborates:
Stelter’s choice to extol the virtues of a new book instead of addressing the media’s politically motivated failures in reporting on Biden’s health proved too much for independent journalist Mark Halperin to ignore.
In his latest podcast, Halperin expressed his frustration, labeling Stelter’s behavior as indicative of a broader “journalistic corruption” within the media landscape:
“At CNN, you have Brian Stelter, their media reporter, who acts as an ally to Jake Tapper, aiming to bolster Tapper’s public image. Instead of addressing the media’s greatest failure in history, he focuses on praising Tapper’s book. In his newsletter today, he highlighted how crucial it was for Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson to present the ‘full truth’ in their book by hiring the head of The New Yorker’s fact-checking department.”
“However, a media reporter’s role should not be to promote and shield his colleague. Stelter is far from innocent; throughout Biden’s presidency, he has relentlessly criticized those on the right and independent media voices, like myself, who have dared to hold Biden accountable.”
