On Friday night, amidst the whirlwind of pre-Academy Awards festivities, Hollywood came together to celebrate and honor the female talent within the industry at the 19th annual Women In Film Oscar Nominees celebration. Hosted by Max Mara, the event was a tribute to those who are working towards achieving greater gender equality in the world of film.

Guests from various spheres of Hollywood, including actresses, directors, producers, and costume designers, gathered at Wheelhouse, a historic private residence in West Hollywood, for the event. The venue, once a party hotspot frequented by legendary actress Bette Davis, set the stage for an evening of recognition and empowerment.

The festivities commenced with attendees mingling around an outdoor charcuterie board, savoring delicious bites and signature cocktails like The Leading Lady and Best Picture Spritz. Notable personalities like Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin were spotted at the bar, adding to the lively atmosphere of the evening.

The formal program began as the sun set, with guests gathering around the pool illuminated by fairy lights. Kirsten Schaffer, CEO of Women In Film, took the stage first, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of industry challenges. WIF board president Syrinthia Studer echoed this sentiment, acknowledging the contributions of women in storytelling and filmmaking.

Among the honorees was the talented Kate Hudson, elegantly dressed in a Max Mara gown, who received a nomination for Best Actress for her performance in the acclaimed film “Song Sung Blue.” As she took the stage, the room erupted in applause, showcasing the support and admiration for her work. Diane Warren, also nominated for Best Original Song, shared her excitement for Hudson’s film, further highlighting the evening’s celebration of female talent and creativity.
