Isaiah Stokes, a well-known actor who has made appearances on popular TV shows like “Law & Order” and “Boardwalk Empire,” has been found guilty of a brutal and calculated murder in Queens, NY. The Queens DA’s Office announced on Monday that Stokes was convicted of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon for the killing of 37-year-old Tyrone Jones in February 2021.

According to prosecutors, Stokes, who also goes by the name I$AIAH in the music industry, had been harboring a grudge against Jones for four months leading up to the murder. The feud began when Jones kicked Stokes out of his birthday party in October 2020. Stokes allegedly placed a GPS device under Jones’ car on January 29, 2021, and used it to track him down to a location on Linden Boulevard where he carried out the fatal shooting.

Surveillance footage captured the chilling moment when Stokes approached Jones’ parked car and fired 11 shots through the driver’s side window, hitting Jones multiple times in the head and chest. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving behind a devastated family and friends.

Queens DA Melinda Katz described the murder as a calculated act of revenge, stating, “The defendant, a part-time actor, stewed for months after being thrown out of a birthday party for his own inappropriate behavior. Intent on revenge, Isaiah Stokes placed a GPS on the victim’s car and tracked Tyrone Jones down to Linden Boulevard, where he ruthlessly shot the man 11 times as he sat in his car.”

Stokes now faces a sentence of 25 years to life behind bars for his heinous actions. The DA emphasized the importance of cracking down on gun violence and commended the prosecutors and NYPD detectives for their work on the case. Justice Kenneth Holder has scheduled Stokes to appear for sentencing on March 21.

The tragic murder of Tyrone Jones serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences of senseless violence and the need for justice to be served in our communities. Stokes’ conviction sends a strong message that such actions will not be tolerated, and those responsible will be held accountable for their crimes.
