Washington:

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz made a startling revelation on Monday, admitting that Israel was responsible for the assassination of former Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran earlier this year. Katz issued a warning, stating that the Israeli military would also target the leadership of Yemen’s Huthi rebels, vowing to “decapitate” them.

Katz boldly declared, “We will strike hard at the Huthis… and decapitate their leadership — just as we did with Haniyeh, (Yahya) Sinwar, and (Hassan) Nasrallah in Tehran, Gaza, and Lebanon, we will do so in Hodeida and Sanaa.” This marks the first public acknowledgment of Israel’s involvement in the killing of Haniyeh in July in the Iranian capital.
