Former UFC star and Dirty Boxing champ, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, was taken into custody on Monday following an alleged domestic violence incident. TMZ Sports has obtained details of the altercation.
According to a report from Pembroke Pines PD, law enforcement responded to a call about a “suspicious incident” which turned out to be a case of “domestic battery.”
Upon arrival, officers engaged with Rozenstruik, who claimed that his partner had pushed him during a heated argument.
Authorities stated that Rozenstruik was uncooperative and believed they could resolve the situation without police intervention.
However, the woman involved reported that the altercation began during a car ride from their storage unit. She alleged that Rozenstruik became aggressive, leading to a physical confrontation.
She claimed that Rozenstruik intentionally slapped her hand, causing her phone to fall, and later proceeded to strike her hand again when she ignored him.
As the situation escalated, she alleged that Rozenstruik prevented her from leaving the vehicle by grabbing her arm, prompting her to defend herself with punches.
The woman further alleged that Rozenstruik attempted a physical altercation and forcibly kissed her, leading to a biting incident on her bicep against her will.
Their argument continued as they drove to another location, where she claimed Rozenstruik restrained her once again, resulting in another self-defense response from her.
Law enforcement observed visible injuries on the woman, including a bite mark, redness on her forearms, and bruising under her eye, leading to Rozenstruik’s arrest for domestic violence.
Following an investigation, it was determined that Rozenstruik was the primary aggressor in the incident, resulting in charges of battery/domestic violence and false imprisonment.
Since departing from the UFC, Rozenstruik had joined Mike Perry’s Dirty Boxing Organization and recently became the inaugural champion by defeating Rakim Cleveland.
Rozenstruik is currently in police custody as the legal process unfolds.
