Jake Paul vs. Tank Davis is no longer happening. Most Valuable Promotions has announced the cancellation of the Nov. 15 boxing match following allegations of assault against Gervonta Davis at a strip club.
MVP, which initiated an investigation into the lawsuit filed in Florida against Davis, stated on Monday that they “worked closely with all parties to navigate this situation responsibly.”
MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian mentioned that Jake Paul will still have a fight on Netflix before the end of 2025, but it will not be against Gervonta Davis.
As the event drew near, Paul’s team reportedly tried to find a replacement for Davis. Francis Ngannou revealed to TMZ Sports that he was contacted during the search but declined the offer.

The fight was initially announced in August and gained attention due to the significant size difference between Paul and Davis. Paul stands at 6’1″ and just under 200 pounds, while Davis is 5’5″ and 135 pounds.
Allegations of assault were made by a woman named Courtney Rossel against Davis, claiming that he assaulted and threatened her multiple times during their five-month relationship.
Rossel alleged that Davis assaulted her at Tootsies in Miami, where he reportedly grabbed, pushed, pulled, and choked her while she was working as a VIP cocktail waitress.
A police report was filed following the incident.
Two days ago, MVP confirmed that they had initiated their own investigation into the allegations against Davis, stating, “At this time, we are gathering information and reviewing the details to ensure any decision we make is thoroughly vetted.”
