James Harden recently took part in the Stance Spades Tournament, hosted by Dwyane Wade and Taylor Rooks. The event, which served as a side attraction to the NBA All-Star weekend in San Francisco, saw Harden team up with his agent Troy Payne. Taylor Rooks proudly shared their victory on Instagram, showcasing their success in the tournament.

In a post, Rooks expressed her excitement about winning the tournament, stating, “Hosted this year’s all-star spades tourney with the legendary @dwyanewade and BROUGHT HOME THE VICTORY!!! James and his partner almost had us I can’t even lie 😭 but we did it!!!! Lost in the championship last year but returned with a W. And we’ll be back for another one 😉”

Harden playfully responded to Rooks’ post, calling her a “CHEATER!” The tournament also saw the participation of former NBA players like Metta World Peace, Andre Iguodala, Mario Chalmers, and Dorrell Wright. WNBA legend Candace Parker and track and field superstar Noah Lyles were among the notable participants.

Rooks shared photos on Instagram, including one where she posed with Harden and a clip of him dealing at one of the tables. The Stance Spades Tournament has been a tradition for over a decade, following the NBA All-Star weekend wherever it is held.

Last year in Indiana, Dwyane Wade emerged victorious in the tournament, with Donovan Mitchell also participating. This year, Harden returned to the All-Star game after a two-year absence and almost clinched the title in the spades tournament before being defeated by the Rooks-Wade duo.

On the basketball court, Harden had a successful run during the All-Star weekend. He played a key role in leading Shaq’s OGs to the championship game, where they faced off against the Internationals of Charles Barkley. Although his numbers may not have stood out, Harden’s contributions were invaluable to his team’s success.

Overall, Harden had a more successful outing on the basketball court than at the spades table during the All-Star weekend. His competitive spirit and determination were on full display, showcasing his versatility both on and off the court.
