Jesse Watters made controversial comments on Monday regarding the suspect in the shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, suggesting that it would be a good thing if the suspect were killed in prison. His fellow Fox News host Jeanine Pirro warned him to stop, but Watters continued, stating that the suspect, Luigi Mangione, an Ivy League graduate from a prominent Maryland family, was not prepared for prison and may face consequences from other inmates.

Mangione, who was arrested in connection to the shooting, faces charges of second-degree murder, as well as three gun charges and forgery. Watters’ comments drew criticism, with Pirro advising him to refrain from further remarks.

The shooting of Thompson has sparked intense commentary, with social media flooded with support for the shooter and criticism towards the insurance executive. Many have expressed a lack of sympathy for Thompson, using phrases like “thoughts and prayers are out of network” to convey their feelings. Police revealed that Mangione had a manifesto expressing ill will towards corporate America, and bullets recovered at the scene were marked with words like “delay” and “deny,” reminiscent of tactics used by insurers to avoid paying claims.

Overall, the incident has ignited strong reactions and debates surrounding the motives behind the shooting and the response from the public. following sentence:
