During an interview this week with ABC’s Terry Moran, President Donald Trump made a claim that left Jimmy Kimmel calling it “the most disturbing moment yet.”
Kimmel noted that while Trump often says outrageous things, most of the time it’s clear he’s not being serious. He usually just brags or lies. However, Kimmel pointed out that things took a turn for the worse during Trump’s discussion with Moran, specifically when the conversation shifted to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland man who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador.
Trump adamantly insisted that Abrego Garcia is a member of the notorious MS-13 gang. His proof? A photoshopped image that showed “MS-13” added to Abrego Garcia’s knuckle tattoos.
Kimmel humorously remarked that to most people, the photo looked like it was created on an outdated computer program, but to Trump, it was undeniable evidence.
When Moran pointed out that the image was clearly altered, Trump became defensive, claiming that such incidents are the reason people no longer trust the news.
Kimmel mocked Trump’s gullibility, comparing him to someone who falls for internet memes, even poorly made ones. He expressed concern over Trump’s irrational behavior, suggesting that the best-case scenario is that he simply needs glasses, while the worst-case scenario is much more alarming.
