As a result of this election, Prime Minister Mark Carney, who assumed office following Justin Trudeau’s resignation, has secured another term in power. Carney’s victory speech, played by Kimmel, stood in stark contrast to Trump’s usual bravado.
“I have made many mistakes and I will make more,” Carney admitted. “But I commit to acknowledging them openly, correcting them swiftly, and always learning from them.”
Kimmel humorously predicted Trump’s reaction to Carney’s approach.
