Jimmy Kimmel discussed a new political force that President Donald Trump will have to reckon with on Tuesday night. This force is not American, but rather Canadian. Kimmel highlighted the recent election in Canada, where the Liberal Party emerged victorious despite Trump’s aggressive tactics.
As a result of this election, Prime Minister Mark Carney, who assumed office following Justin Trudeau’s resignation, has secured another term in power. Carney’s victory speech, played by Kimmel, stood in stark contrast to Trump’s usual bravado.
“I have made many mistakes and I will make more,” Carney admitted. “But I commit to acknowledging them openly, correcting them swiftly, and always learning from them.”
Kimmel humorously predicted Trump’s reaction to Carney’s approach.
“Oh man, Trump is gonna hate him!” Kimmel exclaimed. “I mean, admitting and learning from mistakes? What kind of Canadian devilry is that?”
