U.S. and Ukraine Forge Path Toward Peace in Geneva Talks
On November 23, 2025, delegates from the United States and Ukraine convened in Geneva to deliberate on a U.S. peace proposal. The atmosphere was notably constructive, characterized by mutual respect and a shared aspiration for a just and enduring peace.
Both parties left the discussions acknowledging their productivity, with significant strides made in harmonizing their positions and charting clear next steps. A key takeaway was the consensus that any forthcoming agreement must prioritize Ukraine’s sovereignty while fostering a sustainable and equitable peace. Consequently, an updated peace framework was drafted as a result of these fruitful discussions.
The Ukrainian delegation expressed heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support from the United States, particularly acknowledging President Donald J. Trump for his relentless efforts to bring an end to the ongoing conflict and the associated loss of life.
Looking ahead, Ukraine and the U.S. committed to intensifying their collaborative efforts on joint proposals in the forthcoming days. Both parties will also maintain close communication with their European allies as the process unfolds.
Decisions under this newly established framework will ultimately rest in the hands of the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to working together toward a peace that not only guarantees Ukraine’s security and stability but also lays the groundwork for its reconstruction.
