The 10th anniversary of the iconic series finale of “Mad Men” will be celebrated at the upcoming ATX TV Festival with a special retrospective panel featuring Jon Hamm. The festival, scheduled for May 29-June 1, will mark Hamm’s first appearance at the event as he reflects on his Emmy-winning portrayal of Don Draper and discusses the lasting legacy and influence of the show. Hamm played the enigmatic protagonist for 92 episodes of the AMC series, which aired from 2007 to 2015.
In addition to Hamm’s appearance, the festival will also see the return of Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty, who will be recording a live episode of SiriusXM’s “Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast.” The podcast follows the former co-stars as they watch “Suits” for the first time, reminiscing about their time on the show and interviewing other cast members. The duo previously reunited with their castmates at the 2024 festival, showcasing the enduring popularity of the series.
Furthermore, the festival will feature guest actors stepping into iconic roles for live script readings of classic episodes from beloved shows like “The Golden Girls” and “Designing Women.” Following the readings, there will be a discussion on the cultural impact of these groundbreaking series, both of which addressed a variety of social issues and were led by strong female characters.
ATX has a history of hosting live script readings of popular shows like “Dawson’s Creek,” “The O.C.,” “Cheers,” and more, making it a fan-favorite tradition at the festival. This year’s lineup also includes a “Leftovers” reunion, a 10-year anniversary retrospective of “UnREAL,” a panel with Bill Lawrence and friends, an unproduced table read with Mike Flanagan and guests, and an acting class with the legendary Henry Winkler.
With a diverse range of programming that celebrates the best in television, the ATX TV Festival continues to be a must-attend event for industry insiders and fans alike. Stay tuned for more updates on additional guest announcements and exciting panels as the festival approaches.
