On this week’s episode of “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart took aim at President Donald Trump for his lack of transparency regarding America’s newly started war with Iran.

Stewart pointed out that the war seemed to have been planned for a long time, yet the American people were left in the dark about its justification and ultimate goals. He criticized Trump for failing to clarify the public’s uncertainty and reassure the nation during a press conference on Sunday night.

During the press conference, Trump was accused of ignoring the press and providing vague responses to questions about the war. Stewart humorously dismissed claims of fake news and mocked Trump’s evasive answers.

The show also highlighted a press conference by Pete Hegseth, where he refused to disclose details about the war, claiming it would be foolish to do so. When questioned about the potential for the conflict to escalate into a long war, Hegseth became defensive and dismissed the reporter’s concerns.

Stewart poked fun at Hegseth’s praise of Trump’s communication skills, sarcastically remarking on the President’s tendency to get easily distracted. He then showed a clip of Trump discussing curtains at a Medal of Honor ceremony, further emphasizing his lack of focus on important issues.

In a final jab, Stewart compared the intelligence of America’s bombs to that of the President, suggesting that the bombs were smarter. The monologue ended with a call to watch the full segment for more laughs.

Overall, Stewart’s critique of Trump’s handling of the war with Iran highlighted the President’s lack of transparency and focus on trivial matters. The segment served as a humorous yet pointed commentary on the state of affairs in the White House.
