New Evidence Discovered in JonBenet Ramsey Case, Confirmed by Father
Last week, Boulder, Colorado, police made a significant announcement regarding the JonBenet Ramsey case, revealing that new evidence had been discovered. John Ramsey, the father of the young girl who was tragically murdered over two decades ago, shared details about this latest development.
In a recent interview, John disclosed, “Chief Redfern told us, gosh, I don’t know, September, we had a meeting with him, and that he had submitted evidence for additional DNA testing.” He went on to explain that while the specifics of the evidence were not disclosed, it was either resubmitted for testing or was entirely new evidence.
Although it remains uncertain whether the evidence is entirely new or previously tested material, John emphasized the importance of testing all available evidence, particularly highlighting the ligature that was used to strangle his daughter. He expressed optimism about the progress being made in the case, attributing it to the new leadership within the Boulder Police Department.
“The key, really, in progress is the addition of new leadership there, it was not very good for 25, 26 years, and Chief Redfern from the outside, I’ve met with him three or four times. I’m impressed with him. I think he’s sincere and honest, and so I’m encouraged, and you know, we’ve advocated,” John stated.
