The Colorado Football Roster Undergoes Changes with Left Tackle Departure

The Colorado football team is set for a significant overhaul with the departure of left tackle Jordan Seaton. Seaton, a standout recruit in the 2024 class, announced on Instagram that he will be moving on from the Buffaloes after two seasons.

During his time at Colorado, Seaton made a strong impact on the team, starting all 13 games as a true freshman and the first nine games of the past season before being sidelined by a foot injury. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 330 pounds, Seaton’s departure will surely draw interest from programs across the country.

Reflecting on his time at Colorado, Seaton expressed gratitude for the experiences and the people who shaped his journey. Despite the chapter coming to a close, the impact of his time with the Buffaloes will stay with him for life.

Seaton’s on-field performance was also impressive, leading the CU offense in snaps played in 2024 and earning freshman All-American honors. In the past season, he received second-team All-Big 12 honors and was noted for his exceptional pass blocking grade among Big 12 tackles.

With Seaton’s departure, the Colorado roster is undergoing significant changes, with only a handful of scholarship players from the 2025 season expected to return. However, players like Larry Johnson III and Andre Roye Jr. are poised to compete for the left tackle position.

CU has been actively filling the roster with transfer additions, including notable offensive linemen like Bo Hughley, Jayven Richardson, and Taj White. These additions, along with the potential return of Phillip Houston, who could receive a medical redshirt, are shaping the team for the upcoming season.

As the Buffaloes prepare for the future, the departure of Seaton marks a transition period, but the team is focused on building a competitive roster for the seasons ahead.
