Joshua Allen’s Girlfriend Shares Her Side of Viral Funeral Fight

“So You Think You Can Dance” star Joshua Allen‘s girlfriend, Dy’Zetta Brown, is speaking out about the altercation that occurred at his funeral. Brown revealed that she was invited by Allen’s family before the incident unfolded.

The brawl erupted when Brown was saying her final goodbye to Allen and was unexpectedly grabbed from behind by a woman, identified as an aunt from Allen’s maternal side of the family.

According to Brown, the police were called to the funeral twice that day. The altercation occurred after the first incident, during which Allen’s maternal family members mentioned a restraining order against him.

Despite the restraining order, Brown was not removed from the funeral. She explained that she respected the family’s grieving process by standing back and allowing them time with Allen before approaching the casket.

Brown clarified that the restraining order against Allen was due to mental health concerns and was active for 90 days. She emphasized that the order was in place to ensure his well-being.

Contrary to rumors, Brown asserted that she and Allen were together for almost four years and were planning a future together. She described Allen as the love of her life and refuted claims that she was his ex-girlfriend.

Tragically, Allen passed away in September after struggling with mental health issues. Brown revealed that she had noticed signs of distress in Allen and had attempted to seek help for him.

Brown expressed her disappointment in the system’s handling of Allen’s mental health issues, stating that she had reached out to various parties for assistance but was met with indifference.

Brown remembered Allen as a kind and talented individual who deserved better support from the system. She emphasized that Allen’s potential was cut short due to a lack of adequate assistance.

Efforts to reach out to Joshua’s maternal family for comments have been unsuccessful at this time.
