Inventing Anna star Julia Garner made her first public appearance after reportedly splitting from her husband Mark Foster at the exciting 2026 World Cup final.
On Sunday, July 19, Garner, 32, graced the red carpet alone at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium as Argentina and Spain battled for the FIFA championship. Dressed in a black leather bomber jacket paired with matching mini shorts and a white T-shirt, Garner exuded an edgy style.
She completed her look with a small black clutch, peep-toe pumps, and styled her blonde hair into a curled pixie cut.
Three days preceding her World Cup outing, it emerged that Garner and Foster, 42, had quietly ended their six-year marriage. (Both Garner and Foster have not publicly commented on their relationship status. Us Weekly reached out to their representatives for a statement.)
Garner and Foster, last seen together at a Hollywood afterparty in October 2025, had been a couple since 2018.
“During our initial conversation, we discovered that my grandmother lived in the same small town as his dad, just outside of Cleveland,” Garner mentioned to Vogue in 2020 about their first date, highlighting that they frequently encountered each other during the Christmas season. “It sort of became a tradition.”

Foster proposed in May 2019 after 10 months of dating, and they tied the knot in a New York City courthouse that December.
“I panicked because I was getting married in 10 days and had nothing to wear,” Garner shared with Vogue about preparing for the wedding, which mirrored her parents’ nuptials. “During a lunch break in my [Ozark] trailer, I checked Instagram and received a DM from Danielle Frankel asking if I had found a dress.”
Garner added, “I replied to her, and we exchanged numbers. We talked on the phone the next day, and it felt like I had known her forever. It was an Instagram miracle!”
For her intimate wedding, Garner wore Frankel’s aptly named “Julia Dress.”
“I had admired Danielle’s work for a while, even before we started planning the wedding,” Garner said at the time. “I first learned about her when she was nominated for the Fashion Fund award. After that, I followed her on Instagram. Her designs have everything I love—they’re beautiful, modern, smart, classic, edgy, original, flattering, and powerful.”
