FBI agents apprehend Tren de Aragua gang member in Mobile, AL

The FBI’s Mobile office has made headlines by arresting six suspected members of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang, a group that has been officially identified as foreign terrorists by the President.

On Wednesday, the FBI Mobile, along with federal and local law enforcement partners, announced the successful operation via their Facebook page:

“FBI Mobile, in collaboration with HSI, ERO, ATF, Border Patrol, and the Mobile Police Department, apprehended six suspected members of Tren de Aragua today. A huge thank you to our state, local, and federal partners.”

During a press conference on Thursday morning, FBI officials revealed that these individuals were apprehended for being in the country without legal authorization during routine traffic stops.

In a twist worthy of a courtroom drama, reports that despite a recent Supreme Court ruling permitting the President to deport these alleged terrorists under the Alien Enemies Act, the White House is entangled in complications concerning the deportation of illegal immigrants, including gang members.

On Wednesday, two federal judges issued a temporary injunction against the removal of Venezuelan nationals and suspected TdA gang members who were facing deportation under said act.

The Supreme Court has mandated that the administration must provide adequate notice for gang members to contest their deportations in a legal setting.
