Justin Baldoni: Allegations of Script Theft and Legal Drama

Justin Baldoni, known for his work in Hollywood, finds himself in the midst of a legal battle that has taken an unexpected turn. His current lawyer, Bryan Freedman, who is representing him in a lawsuit against Blake Lively, was once on the opposite side of a legal dispute with Baldoni.
In 2021, Freedman filed a lawsuit on behalf of Travis Flores, alleging that Baldoni had stolen a script written by Flores for a movie titled “Three Feet Distance,” which was based on Flores’ own life. The lawsuit claimed that while working on a different project with Flores, Baldoni acquired the script without Flores’ knowledge and went on to create the movie “Five Feet Apart,” allegedly based on Flores’ original idea.
With Freedman’s legal assistance, Flores took legal action against Baldoni and other parties for copyright infringement and breach of contract. Although the case was reportedly settled, Flores tragically passed away the following year.
Despite their past legal conflict, Freedman has now become a strong advocate for Baldoni, representing him in high-profile lawsuits against Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds and The New York Times. This transition from legal adversary to supporter may raise eyebrows among those familiar with Freedman’s previous public disputes with Lively, publicist Leslie Sloane, and others.
In a separate legal development, Lively and her legal team sought to restrain Freedman from making public statements and leaking evidence related to the ongoing litigation involving “It Ends With Us,” citing concerns about potential jury bias. The legal drama surrounding Baldoni and his legal representation continues to unfold.
Efforts to reach out to Baldoni and Freedman for comment have so far been unsuccessful. The complex web of legal entanglements and shifting allegiances in Hollywood serves as a reminder of the intricate relationships that define the entertainment industry.
