Justin Jefferson had a rough outing on Sunday, as he was practically invisible on the field during the Minnesota Vikings’ 26-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The star wide receiver only managed to secure two catches for a mere four yards, leaving fans and teammates disappointed.

To add to his frustration, Jefferson was captured on camera looking dejected while sitting on the bench early in the fourth quarter. After the game, he swiftly left the locker room without speaking to reporters, a departure from his usual post-game routine.

The lackluster performance can be partly attributed to quarterback Max Brosmer’s struggles, as he only threw for 126 yards, was intercepted four times, and sacked four times. Tight end TJ Hockenson was the lone bright spot for the Vikings’ offense, while running backs Jordan Mason and Zavier Scott tried to make some impact on the ground.

On the Seahawks’ side, quarterback Sam Darnold also had a subpar game but managed to set up kicker Jason Myers for four successful field goals. Running backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet provided the offensive spark, with Charbonnet even scoring the game’s only touchdown.

Despite his on-field woes, Jefferson shared a heartfelt moment with former teammate Sam Darnold after the game. The two players, who had a successful partnership in the past, exchanged gestures of camaraderie on the field, showcasing their mutual respect and bond.

In 2024, Darnold unexpectedly took over the starting role from an injured JJ McCarthy and helped Jefferson have a standout season. Their chemistry led to Jefferson earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors, although the Vikings fell short in the playoffs.

Overall, while Jefferson’s performance may have been disappointing, his connection with Darnold serves as a reminder of better times on the field. The wide receiver will look to bounce back in the upcoming games and make a more significant impact for the Vikings.
