Vice President Kamala Harris is set to make a return to CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” this Tuesday, October 8th. This will mark her first late-night interview since securing the Democratic presidential nomination back in August.
Harris has been a frequent guest on Colbert’s show, with this upcoming appearance being her seventh. Her most recent visit was on March 15, 2023, and she initially appeared on the show on April 19, 2018, when she was still a U.S. senator from California.
Following Harris’ appearance, her running mate, Minnesota Governor and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, will be making his late-night debut on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, October 7th.
Both Harris and Walz are also scheduled to appear on a special primetime election episode of “60 Minutes” on October 7th at 8 p.m. ET. Correspondent Bill Whitaker will join the Democratic ticket on the campaign trail for in-depth interviews with Harris and Walz, shedding light on their platform’s priorities and values.
The episode will also touch on the absence of an interview with the Republican ticket of former President Donald Trump and Sen. JD Vance, with Scott Pelley addressing why they chose not to participate in the “60 Minutes” election special.
“The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” is produced by The Late Show Inc. and CBS Studios in association with Spartina Industries, with executive producers Stephen Colbert, Tom Purcell, and Jon Stewart at the helm.
Stay tuned for Harris’ highly-anticipated appearance on “The Late Show” and catch the insightful interviews with both Democratic candidates on the “60 Minutes” election special.
