Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood and his team faced disappointment this season as they were unable to secure a spot in the playoffs. Despite the early exit, Sherwood’s fiancee Ariela Smith took to Instagram to share a collection of photos highlighting their season and special moments together.
The carousel of pictures began with a serene image of Ariela and Kiefer’s dog Luca walking through a wooded trail. The next slide showcased a delightful spread of sushi and appetizers at a cozy cafe where the couple enjoyed a meal. A third photo captured Ariela gracefully riding a horse in an arena.
Captioned with, “Same time next year? 🇨🇦🏒💃,” the post continued to unfold with a snapshot of a quiet residential street during sunset. Ariela then shared a mirror selfie in a chic white dress, followed by a picture of a beautifully decorated table adorned with white balloons and elegant tableware.
The photo series also featured Ariela posing on a boat with friends, Kiefer cuddling Luca while sporting a beanie, and Ariela holding a cutout card of Kiefer’s face at her bachelorette party. Cherry blossom trees, a small green car, and Luca donning a Canucks-themed bandana indoors were also captured in the images.
Amidst the scenic shots, a winter landscape with snowy fields and distant mountain views, Ariela smiling at her friend Lina’s baby shower, and an empty horse arena with fences were also included. The final slide depicted Kiefer holding two adorable puppies, Kate and Brooke, whom the couple had recently adopted.
In addition to their furry companions, Kiefer and Ariela are also preparing to tie the knot in July 2025. Earlier this year, the couple welcomed Kate and Brooke into their family, sharing heartwarming photos of the puppies napping and cuddling with Sherwood. The pups were adopted from Endless Pawsabilities Rescue, and Ariela expressed how the dogs were “getting cuter by the minute” and how they adored Kiefer.
Kiefer Sherwood, who signed with the Vancouver Canucks last offseason, had a productive season with 19 goals and 21 assists in 78 games. As the couple looks forward to their upcoming wedding, their growing family and cherished memories continue to bring joy and happiness to their lives.
