Andrew is residing at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate while Marsh Farm undergoes significant renovations, including rewiring and plastering. Concerns have been mentioned regarding the building’s condition, which is reportedly not yet suitable for occupancy.
His extended stay at Wood Farm is reportedly causing frustration, as Charles intends to use the property for visiting guests.
A royal insider stated, “Marsh Farm still requires substantial work. There are issues with rewiring, plastering, and even concerns about asbestos, making it unsuitable for occupancy at this point. Additionally, Andrew is demanding a very high standard, which is delaying progress further.”
The source continued, “There is an increasing urgency to vacate Wood Farm, especially if the space is needed for guests, and the King is unlikely to delay if a decision must be made. If Andrew continues to delay matters, there is a real possibility he could end up with much simpler accommodations—possibly a caravan—if he is not cautious and does not learn when to remain silent. But that has never been his strength.”
The caravan in question was set up on the Marsh Farm grounds to accommodate staff displaced by the downsizing from Royal Lodge, which had considerably more space.
Andrew has kept a low profile since his arrest earlier this year on suspicion of misconduct in public office, following the release of documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein. He was questioned by police and released under investigation, consistently denying any wrongdoing.
