Revry, the LGBTQ+ streaming service, has officially renewed its reality competition show “King of Drag” for a highly anticipated second season. The success of Season 1 has paved the way for a triumphant return of the drag kings to the world stage. Casting applications for Season 2 are now open, offering a unique opportunity for talented drag kings to showcase their artistry and creativity.

Christopher J. Rodriguez, the co-founder and chief creative officer of Revry, expressed his excitement for the return of the beloved franchise. He highlighted the growing popularity of drag kings and their unique perspective on drag, which has been embraced by the community. Rodriguez also announced the return of e.l.f. Cosmetics as the presenting sponsor for Season 2, reinforcing their commitment to supporting diverse and inclusive representation in the entertainment industry.

Season 1 of “King of Drag” was hosted by Murray Hill and featured a star-studded lineup of guest judges, including Tony winner Cole Escola, Lisa Rinna, and director Paul Feig, among others. The regular judging panel consisted of Sasha Velour, Gottmik, Tenderoni, Wang Newton, and Revry co-founder and CEO Damian Pelliccione. After a fierce competition, King Molasses was crowned the winner, showcasing the incredible talent and artistry of drag kings.

Pelliccione emphasized the global appeal of drag and the hunger for representation in the mainstream media. Season 1 of “King of Drag” garnered over 32 million views, 30 million social media impressions, and 3.8 billion press impressions, solidifying its impact and popularity. The series also received two nominations for the 2026 Queerty Awards, further highlighting its success and recognition within the industry.
