The gruesome murder of former Miss Switzerland finalist, Kristina Joksimovic, has shocked the nation as her husband, identified only as Thomas, has been formally charged with her murder. The horrific details of the case revealed that Joksimovic was found dismembered in her home in Binningen, near Basel, with her body parts pureed in a blender.
The autopsy report and court documents described the brutal manner in which Joksimovic was killed. Her body was dismembered with a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears, with her womb being removed as the only organ cut out of her torso. Thomas then proceeded to chop up several body parts with an industrial blender and dissolve them in a chemical solution.
It was a chilling discovery when Joksimovic’s father found her butchered body in a black bag in the laundry room, with blonde hair sticking out. Investigators later found the blender used in the gruesome act, along with remnants of her body, including flaps of skin with muscles still attached and bone fragments.
The autopsy report revealed the extent of the brutality, with Thomas snapping her hip joints out of their sockets, removing her limbs, and severing her spine to decapitate her. Despite initially claiming self-defense, Thomas eventually confessed to killing his wife to protect himself after alleging she had attacked him with a knife.
Medical experts refuted his claims of self-defense, determining that Joksimovic died from strangulation. Thomas exhibited a disturbing lack of empathy and cold-bloodedness after the murder, according to police documents.
Joksimovic, a former beauty queen and successful entrepreneur, had a promising career in the modeling industry. She was crowned Miss Northwest Switzerland and was a finalist for Miss Switzerland in 2007. She later transitioned into coaching and mentoring aspiring models, including Dominique Rinderknecht for the Miss Universe pageant in 2013.
The trial date for Thomas has yet to be set, but the shocking details of the case continue to haunt the community. The tragic loss of Kristina Joksimovic serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence and the devastating impact it can have on families.
