Real Estate Agent Arrested with 164 Pounds of Cocaine at Chicago Union Station

A shocking discovery was made at Chicago Union Station when a 57-year-old real estate agent from suburban Los Angeles was arrested for allegedly carrying nearly 164 pounds of cocaine in his luggage.

During the agent’s first court appearance, Judge Deidre Dyer expressed her astonishment at the amount of drugs found, stating, “Wow. That’s a lot. I mean, that’s a lot.”

Prosecutors revealed that Jerome Nalbandian was apprehended on April 13 with 75.15 kilos of suspected cocaine concealed in four roller bags, totaling 163.47 pounds.

Despite the gravity of the charges, Judge Dyer seemed surprised that the case was not being escalated to a federal level, commenting, “I’m totally shocked it’s not a federal case, but whatever. Nobody comes from another state with that many kilos.”

After confirming Nalbandian’s clean criminal record and the state’s lack of intention to detain him, Judge Dyer released him on bail pending trial, cautioning him to attend all court dates to avoid further repercussions.

As of now, no mugshot for Nalbandian has been made available. He faces charges of trafficking a controlled substance.
