Lady Gaga‘s grandmother, Angelina Calderone Germanotta, has passed away at the age of 94. Angelina, who was the mother of Gaga’s father, Joe Germanotta, passed away on October 12, just days before her 95th birthday. A funeral service was held on October 17 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.
Angelina was the matriarch of the Germanotta family and shared a special bond with her famous granddaughter, Lady Gaga. Gaga, whose full name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, honored her grandmother by including part of her name in her own.
