The spouse of the beloved comedian John Witherspoon is listing their family estate for sale, nearly six years after his passing. This impressive 25,000-square-foot estate comprised of two properties is brimming with cherished memories and is available for the asking price of $4.625 million!
Angela Witherspoon shared with TMZ, “We’ve created so many wonderful memories here. We raised our two boys in this home. Our youngest went to The Buckley School, and our oldest graduated from the Magnet program at Grant High School. We’ve hosted many events, from family Christmas gatherings to my husband John’s celebration of life attended by friends like David Letterman, Chris Tucker, and DJ’d by Shawn Wayans.”
The estate includes two addresses and is located in the Sherman Oaks area of L.A., featuring 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, with easy access to Malibu Canyon and Downtown LA.
Though the estate offers seclusion for privacy, it is inviting for guests, boasting a ambiance reminiscent of the European countryside.

Ice Cube spoke at John’s celebration of life, and the property has also been featured as the venue for Kamala Harris‘ influential vice-presidential fundraiser “Cookout for Kamala” in 2020, along with being the wedding site for family friend Madison McFerrin.
Recently, Angela opened her home as a location for the upcoming film “Villa Hollywood,” where she stars alongside Maria Russell, Rhonda Shear, and Aniya Wayans, marking the onscreen debut of a new addition to the famed Wayans family.
Angela expressed her desire to downsize in L.A. to enable her to spend more time traveling and exploring new destinations around the globe.

The last time we had a conversation with John, he was thrilled about Eddie Murphy‘s return to the comedy scene, marking the resurgence of his two classic films, “Coming 2 America” and “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.”
The estate is being represented by agents Lucas Arias and Isaiah Arias from the A&A Team at Compass.
