Losing an engagement ring is every bride-to-be’s worst nightmare. Whether it’s slipping off your finger, getting left behind in a public restroom, or, in the case of Lily Collins, being stolen, the feeling of losing such a precious and sentimental piece of jewelry is truly devastating. However, there is some good news for Collins, as she has recently been reunited with her stolen ring three years after it went missing.
The talented actor, known for her role in “Emily in Paris,” took to Instagram to share the exciting news with her followers. In a selfie posted on her Instagram Stories on March 6th, Collins proudly showed off her recovered ring with the caption: “Having this home means SO much to us. I’m still speechless [that] it’s back on my finger.” The ring in question is a unique rose-cut diamond design by Irene Neuwirth, valued at over $80,000.
Collins announced her engagement to writer-director Charlie McDowell during a trip to Mexico in September 2020. The couple tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado, in September 2021, with Collins stunning in a long-sleeved, hooded lace gown by Ralph Lauren. Since then, the couple has welcomed a daughter named Tove Jane McDowell.
The theft of Collins’ engagement ring, wedding band, and electronic devices occurred in May 2023 at The West Hollywood EDITION hotel’s spa. Despite an investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff at the time, the items remained missing. However, Collins recently shared that her ring was returned to her by Joe The Jeweler from downtown Chicago, although she did not provide details on how it was recovered.
Losing an engagement ring is a heart-wrenching experience, but the joy of being reunited with such a precious piece of jewelry is truly priceless. Collins’ story serves as a reminder to always cherish and protect the things that hold sentimental value in our lives. Congratulations to Lily Collins on the recovery of her beloved ring!
