Lin-Manuel Miranda Makes Surprise Appearance on SNL Cold Open

The latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” opened with a delightful surprise for viewers as Lin-Manuel Miranda made a special appearance. Dressed in his iconic “Hamilton” costume, Miranda joined the cast in a scene depicting the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the 1700s.

Miranda’s presence on stage was met with thunderous applause as he delivered a powerful message, declaring, “In America, all men are created equal! We will never have a king!”

However, the scene took a comedic turn when James Austin Johnson appeared as Donald Trump, joking about his “king era” and his plans to create a new country. Johnson humorously referenced the lack of diversity in his administration, stating that workplaces should resemble the TV show “The Office” with a predominantly white staff.

As the skit unfolded, Johnson as Trump shared his absurd views on gender roles and his controversial appointments, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The segment also featured jokes about Elon Musk and Melania Trump, adding to the satirical commentary on current political events.

Throughout the sketch, Miranda and Johnson engaged in witty banter, culminating in the classic “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!” sign-off. The episode, hosted by Timothée Chalamet, promised a night of entertainment and laughter for viewers.
