Lindsay Lohan is set to star in and executive produce the upcoming Hulu drama series “Count My Lies,” based on the novel of the same name. The show, written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger of “This Is Us” fame, will mark Lohan’s first lead role in a TV series. In “Count My Lies,” she will portray wealthy mother Violet, in a story that follows the tale of a compulsive liar who lands a nanny position in a household filled with secrets.

This project adds to Lohan’s recent return to acting, following a hiatus. She starred in the Netflix film “Falling for Christmas” in 2022, as well as two rom-coms for the streamer in 2024. Additionally, she made a cameo in the “Mean Girls” movie musical and is set to appear in “Freakier Friday,” a sequel to the popular film “Freaky Friday.” Lohan is represented by IAG, Dave Feldman, and Vision PR.

The novel “Count My Lies” was published by Simon & Schuster earlier this year, written by Sophie Stava, who also serves as a producer on the Hulu adaptation. Stava is represented by CAA and Elisabeth Weed at The Book Group.

Aptaker and Berger, known for their work on “This Is Us,” are co-showrunners of the series and are under an overall deal at 20th Television, the studio behind “Count My Lies.” They have previously developed shows like “How I Met Your Father” and “Love, Victor” for Hulu. The duo is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox.

Scott Morgan, also from The Walk-Up Company, is set to executive produce “Count My Lies.” The show promises to be an exciting addition to Hulu’s lineup, with a talented team behind the scenes and Lindsay Lohan leading the cast.
