The initial crash took place at around 3:45 a.m. on Grand Boulevard in Deer Park, where a Mini Cooper driven by 56-year-old Anthony Guglielmo collided with a Jeep traveling westbound. Guglielmo, a resident of Deer Park, was rushed to Good Samaritan University Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Jeep, identified as Stefanie Russo, 37, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to the same hospital for treatment.
