The college admissions scandal involving Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli made headlines when the couple was accused of paying a fixer half a million dollars to secure their daughters, Olivia and Isabella, admission to the University of Southern California. Loughlin served two months behind bars, while Giannulli served five, and faced backlash from fans and the public.

However, it seems that the heat has finally cooled off for Loughlin as she is set to make a mark on TV once again. Renowned producer Dick Wolf, best known for his Law & Order franchise, has cast Loughlin in his new Prime show scheduled to debut in January 2025.
