Lucy Liu and Stephanie Hsu are being recognized for their contributions to the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community at the upcoming Asian American Foundation (TAAF) Heritage Summit and Awards Dinner. This two-day event, taking place on May 21-22, aims to celebrate the leadership, vibrancy, and growing influence of the AANHPI community through impactful panels and discussions that shape the national dialogue on identity, inclusion, and intergenerational change.
Both Liu and Hsu expressed their gratitude for the honor they will be receiving. Liu stated, âIâm deeply honored to receive this award from The Asian American Foundation. It stands as a tribute to TAAFâs vision of equity, representation, and lasting impact.â Hsu added, âI am so honored to be receiving a TAAF award and to be in a room full of people celebrating all the ways it is, indeed, an honor just to be Asian.â
In addition to Liu and Hsu, Vivek RanadivĂ©, owner and chairman of the Sacramento Kings, will also be recognized at the event. RanadivĂ© expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, âItâs a privilege to stand alongside many inspiring leaders who are shaping the future and uplifting our communities.â
The Summit will feature keynotes and panels with prominent figures such as Tan France, Joe Tsai, Poorna Jagannathan, and more. Fireside conversations will explore AANHPI representation in various industries, including film, television, and food. The event will also see the release of the STAATUS Index, a national study of Americansâ perceptions of Asian American communities.
